Description
Exam P is a three hour multiple choice examination and is offered via computer based testing (CBT). It's the first step toward being an actuary.The syllabus for Exam P develops the candidate's knowledge of the fundamental probability tools for quantitatively assessing risk. The application of these tools to problems encountered in actuarial science is emphasized. A thorough command of the supporting calculus is assumed. Additionally, a very basic knowledge of insurance and risk management is assumed.Candidates are expected to spend more than 300 hours studing and practice on this exam. The pass rate is around 45%This course is taught by Yodharin Monplub. Professor Yodharin Monplub has an almost ASA qualification from the SOA, with only FAP left.
