Welcome to Brazilian Portuguese The Ultimate Course (Level 2)This course is a continuation of the Brazilian Portuguese The Ultimate Course (Level 1). So, in case you haven t, I recommend that you take Level 1 before taking this course.Are you ready to keep on learning Brazilian Portuguese?Brazilian Portuguese The Ultimate Course has two levels so far, but it is intended to have several other levels. From beginners to advanced. The first three levels will focus mainly on basic Tenses. On the first level, we focused on the Present. On this level, we re going to keep on focusing on the present, but we re also going to introduce the future.This is a very visual course. And because the course is so visual, I ve decided to do the explanation videos in Portuguese from this level on. By doing this, your exposure to Portuguese will be more intense, and you will learn faster.Of course, we re going to keep on working on every aspect of the Portuguese language: Conversation, Pronunciation, Grammar, Informal Language, Culture.The first thing you have to do is go to resources and download all the PDFs there. This way, you ll be able to see everything that is going to be taught throughout the course.The lectures are named according to the following criteria: page number on the PDF + Activity Name. So, always use the PDFs as your guide.Learning a new language takes time and practice. So, it s not productive to watch the whole course in a single day because you re not going to internalize the vocabulary.Do the conversation activities in this course more than once. Just move on to the next activity when you feel that you re able to, easily and confidently, answer the questions you ve been practicing. If you follow the methodology here, you will learn Portuguese really well.How does this course work?At Resources, you ll be able to download the PDFs with all the activities that will be taught throughout the course. It is a beautiful, well-designed material containing hundreds of pictures that will help you understand Portuguese with ease.Each unit of the course is divided into the following sections:Vocabul rio (Vocabulary): It works as an introduction to the unit. Here you ll learn some important words that will be covered in that unit.De olho na gram tica (Keeping an eye out for grammar): this section will bring you just the right amount of grammar you need to do the oral activities in a natural way.Vamos conversar? (Let s talk!): this section is the core of this course because it is composed of real-life conversational models. Students must answer questions following a pattern while incorporating in their sentences the vocabulary that was introduced at the beginning of the unit. That s exactly where this course stands out from the others because students are encouraged to say the answers orally and within the allotted time. That s the best way to acquire fluency.Na ponta da l ngua (On the tip of your tongue): this section gives pronunciation tips that, over time, will help students get familiar with the sounds that may be key to understanding native speakers of Brazilian Portuguese.Leitura! (Reading!): this section is a text containing lots of words that were studied throughout the unit. Somehow, it is a way to review what the students have learned in the unit, but also to show how much they can now understand.Voc sabia? (Did you know?) This section brings interesting cultural facts about Brazil.
