Description
Why this Course?
This is a dedicated Vue 3 course built from ground zero, not a Vue 2 course with a couple of supplement chapters about Vue 3.
To help you create professional-looking pages, we have also included a full Tailwindcss course created just for Vue 3.
We have also included Pinia, which is a better and more powerful alternative to VueX.
We will learn two building tools: Vue CLI and Vite.
With everything taught from the beginning, this course is perfect for beginners as well as Vue 2 developers.
This is our second Vue course. Learning from the past experience, we have realized that just explaining Vue syntax is far from enough.
Many people do not possess enough JavaScript knowledge to fully understand Vue syntax. For example, they will often have trouble deciding whether they need a full function or an arrow function.
To help you better understand Vue 3 syntax, we specifically included lessons covering basic JavaScript topics like ES6 proxy, closure, arrow function, THIS, and design patterns like the factory pattern and singleton pattern. A stronger knowledge base helps your in all aspects, not just Vue. You can pick up another framework much more quickly.
Solving real-life problems using features provided by Vue is often more challenging than learning Vue itself, because the former requires creativity that comes from past development experience, which many beginners do not have.
We have designed many projects to help you practice and apply everything you have learned in real-life scenarios. For example, we will create a list whose item order can be individually adjusted and saved. We will also integrate Vue with cookies to "memorize" user selections. We will also integrate Vue with recursion.
Why Vue?
Vue is an excellent frontend framework with an ever growing popularity, providing more job opportunities.
Compared with React and Angular, Vue is just as fully featured but has a smoother learning curve, more friendly to beginners. If you are looking for your first frontend framework, then look no further!
Basic Vue syntaxes are often more complicated than you might have thought. So if you do take this course, we want you to be patient with the beginning chapters. Do NOT skip them. There are things you don't know that you don't know.
Vue 3 has introduced the composition API. It is a great new feature not just for Vue but for your JavaScript study as well. At the end of our Vue, Vue Router, and VueX studies, we will re-create our course projects by migrating codes into the setup function. You may find this process challenging but you will be rewarded with the perfect opportunity to further understand advanced JS techniques like closure, factory pattern, singleton pattern, etc. You can apply these techniques in real-life scenarios, rather than in an isolated experiment environment.
