Description
The purpose of this course is to provide a highly effective & efficient toolset to help with super strong emotions - that is extreme levels of "activation". This course provides clear and entertaining videos with very practical techniques you can use instantly to reduce the intensity of your feelings.
This workshop gives you workable approaches and techniques for dealing with super strong emotions. In this course, we will categorize emotions into three categories on a 10-point scale through the Three Levels of Emotional Intensity. You will learn about what tools work for each level. I have searched thru the holistic world and beyond and found techniques that often work for most people most of the time.
Perhaps you have tried numerous techniques to conquer these emotions, ranging from journaling to therapy to yoga to medication, and perhaps all that has not worked. There are many reasons possible. However, it's possible that you are working with the wrong tools. Have no fear, this course is here!!!! This course will equip you with clinically-validated and field tested tools and techniques.
When to use this tool? When to use that tool? This course's mission is to provide a "hammer for a nail, and a screwdriver for a screw". A screwdriver takes a long time to hammer in a nail. So mindfulness (which we love and teach in this course) as a tool for intense anger or panic really doesn't do much. For example, mindfulness is great for the second level of intensity. We will give you guidance about when and how to use the 13 tools taught in this course.
Here at the Integrative Counseling Center in Scottsdale Arizona, our mission is to provide tools, techniques, therapies, trainings and workshops with new standard of care - an integrative model - which incorporates physiology, cognition, and spirituality in the assessment and treatment process. This Udemy course is a do-it-yourself version of some of the tools and protocols we teach in our clinic. It is not a replacement for therapy and counseling services rather adjunctive and supplementary.
