Description
This course is for everyone who has been lost in the mired, thorny, life-robbing world of perpetual dieting and the beliefs that you need to change how you look to fit in.Even if you have not chosen to diet but you have put your life on hold in many ways because you have attached yourself to an image ideal that is your measure of success, then this journey is also for you.We live in a society where we are constantly bombarded by messages about how we should look, what we should weigh, what we should or should not eat, what we should or should not wear, how we should or should not exercise. Is it a surprise that we may be living in accordance with other people's rules, adopting other people's goals, and measuring our worth by other people's metrics? It's time to advocate for ourselves differently, compassionately, and fiercely. In this course we will work together to understand how we have internalized so many beliefs about our bodies and food, and how those beliefs affect us on a daily basis. If you are used to avoiding certain people or activities in your life and want a more flexible, free, functional relationship with yourself, your body, and food, you've come to the right place. The course is divided into four sections, each focusing on an important aspect of body image resilience. In each section, you will learn specific practices and strategies for developing a relationship with your body and food that is respectful, gentle, compassionate, and gritty so you can start living in alignment with YOUR rules versus those that so many of us have unconsciously adopted. Get ready to come home to yourself, develop confidence in who you are, and begin living a life that feels free, grounded, and intentional!
