Description
VERY IMPORTANT NOTICEAs from 21st March 2022, all the revenue I (the Instructor!) receive from this course ('revenue' NOT 'profit') will go to help people either in or fleeing from, Ukraine. This means that I am adapting and expanding the course to include a lot more examples from Ukraine.Depressing watching. The core is the same - but there are many additional lectures.Note: This course does not qualify the recipient to perform any form of therapy or counselling for any other personThis course goes through some very straightforward Art Therapy exercises in a way that students are encouraged to follow along. The thoughts behind the exercises are explained, studies are referenced and examples are given. You are urged to read the studies in full - owing to copyright they cannot be displayed in full here. The more people get involved and do the exercises, the more they can share ideas then the better this course becomes - for you.The common 'tool' is the duck. Either rubber or painted. We also look at the duck as a totem spirit - and other alternatives.Do not worry if you cannot paint or have no experience! This course is very carefully explained and the emphasis throughout is on process. You will be shown plenty of poor art as well as art abstracts that go through the stages of mental health. The artist concerned has been co-opted to help answer questions on this course.A heavy encouragement to participate; a huge encouragement to do the exercises - and a great willingness by me to encourage all to...listen...to ourselves. So please remember:1. Lectures2. Educational Announcements3. Q/AAll make up this course! Remember please to start at the beginning and do the first lecture and task. Also, to familiarise yourself with the course structure before plunging in - make sure you have watched the preview videos for examplePTSD may occur at any age but is more likely to apply to military and especially veterans.
